Stokesley police are appealing for information and asking a vital witness to come forward after a burglary near the town. It occurred between 8.45pm on Wednesday 25 June and 8.30am on Thursday 26 June 2014, from a securely locked storage unit at Larners Lake, Little Ayton. The thieves stole a hedge trimmer, a Husqvarna strimmer, two petrol cans, two life jackets, two oars and a Honda outboard motor. Around the time of the burglary a blue Renault, possibly a T registration, was seen in the area. PC Catherine Skelton, of Stokesley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: If you believe that you may have been in the car at time of the burglary, I ask you to come forward as you may have vital information which could help my enquiries. I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered any items marching the description of the stolen property and ask them to get in touch. Anyone who can help officers with this enquiry should contact Stokesley police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Catherine Skelton. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected]. Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12140104122.
