Stone Bourbon Barrel-Aged Arrogant Bastard. 7.8% ABV. Southern Charred was awesome (BA Double Bastard) and the Bastard Box was only $20 ($5 each for Bastard, Double, Lukcy and this one) so why the hell not? Definitely Arrogant Bastard in the nose. Resinous hops and toffee dominate with the new addition of slight oaky notes and a good amount of bourbon and caramel. Same with the taste. Resinous, piney hops, bourbon, caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak and a bit of char. Not too shabby at all, the barrel imparts a nice , smokey vanilla characteristic that is awesome. Great deal on this 4 pack. Im not big on Bastard these days but getting Double, Lukcy and BBA Bastard makes it totally worth the $20 bill.
