Stood and watched as they tore it down, memories left on the ground, Just bricks and mortar, so they say, not so sure I feel that way. Though the houses were left bare, I could still see all the faces there. Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Brown. coming back from a trip down town, Mrs Coxon and Husband Paul, at the centre of it all. Dawn and Merrick, Paul Hughes and Steve , I never thought one day wed leave. Susan Smith, Kevin, Alan and Mandy, Having all your friends in one street is ever so handy, There was Woody, The Passs, Martin and Dawn, and Dave with his masses. But My heart lies at Thirty two, And my best mate who helped me through time as I grew. So for him and all of the people who share, Memories of a special place where, We all knew each other and many a night, On a little triangle under a light. So Heres To Charter, though you may be gone, The times that weve had and the memories Live on.
