Stop Press: My Malawi My Views shuts down Reports reaching MBNG indicate that the once famous My Malawi My Views Open has been shut down at 2pm today. The group, which had over 37000 members was well known for being an forum where Malawian from all walks of life would interact and share ideas, as well as fight some political battles. In an interview with Malawi Breaking News and Gossip, Bob Chimkango, who is administrator and founder of the group confirmed the development. Yes it is true that we have been shut down after some quarters complained to Facebook Administration that our group is abusive and we are using it for business interests, Chimkango explained. He however brushed as baseless reports that the group was abusive, arguing that the group was created for the sole purpose of providing a platform where Malawian would steam off after busy days at work, as well as socialist, interact and make new friends. we stand for one Malawi. The fact that one or two misled individuals are not happy with the group does not guarantee taking away the enjoyment and pleasure that our 40, 000 members were finding in the group, he concluded. Meanwhile, Chimkango has informed us that his team, which includes Greyson Chapita, Alex Lijuni, Mike Charles Banda and Pato Phoya, are working on a new group also known by the same name, My Malawi My Views, which is already online.
