Stop; are you about to leave the job that you love so as to take on another just because it pays more? Don’t, for believe you may be falling into the trap of thinking that the sole reason for work is to get enough money so as to live. While adequate compensation is important for any job that you do, it’s not the whole story. Think! If you are unsatisfied with what you do everyday, it would eventually take a toll on your physical, mental and even your spiritual wellbeing. Yes, you will experience burnout, feelings of frustration, anxiousness, depression or even unable to enjoy your time at home knowing that you have to report to work the next day. Have you not heard, ‘success is not the key to happiness it is happiness that is the key to success. So think! If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. So if you’re leaving your present employment based only on income then think again. For this one thing I know my friends, that if you don’t find your work meaningful and rewarding, it is hard to keep momentum going so as to reach the top. So Katherine Whitehorn was right when she said ‘Find out what you like doing best and then get someone to pay you for doing it.”
