Stores keeper at Port Sudan A leading International Transport and logistics company has a vacancy for Storekeeper at Port Sudan to shoulder the Storekeeping activities at Port Sudan. The Incumbent shall be reporting to the Accountant Supervisor at Port Sudan from Finance Point of View and to Port Sudan Area Manager from Administrative point of View, the ideal candidate shall have Bsc.in a related Field from a well — recognized and accredited university and appropriate experience exposure along with good track record in Storekeeping. Only holders of Bsc. in relevant Fields and good experience record will be considered. Main Dudes and Responsibilities of Storekeeper: -Minimize vehicle down time by correctly interpreting and forecasting the needs of the workshops and holding the appropriate stocks with due care to minimize any obsolesce )zero policy on obsolescence( -Respond to emergency parts requisitions in a timely and effective way with due regard for the cost and customer associated with down time in operations. -Maintain a stock record system & cards which and prices all items held within the warehouse obtained on emergency basis. -Stock levels on any item should not exceed consumption unless additional volumes are Operations Manager/Maintenance Manager economical basis. -Ensure all items issued from the warehouse are properly costed to the appropriate asset/user. -Review and revise stock holding parameters on all items to ensure stocks are a accurate reflection of consumption and any excesses can be disposed ofwithout financial penalty whilst still current. -Conduct Periodic inventory physical checks on all items held within the warehouse and provide accurate valuations to Manager on a timely basis . -Conduct regular health and safety inspections throughout the warehouse and surrounding areas to ensure our staff are working in a conducive and safe environment. -Maintain accurate records of all used/recondition items returned from workshops and arrange cost effective refurbishment and stock of same.
