Storm Outlook Discussion * No Winter Weather Concerns....Until Weekend Storm Threat * Mild conditions will prevail through Wednesday as an upper-level system tracks by to our north. This system will bring some intermittent rain between Noon Tuesday and 11:00pm Tuesday night--with temps in the 40s, there is no chance of wintry precip. Thursday and Friday will then turn seasonably cool as northwesterly flow develops and high pressure builds across the region Friday night into early Saturday. This chilly high pressure then sets the stage for a potential winter storm later Saturday into Sunday. The key upper-level disturbance is currently over the Pacific and wont come onshore into California until Wednesday--so until it comes onshore, the strength and likely track are uncertain. However, given high pressure over New England this weekend, a southern track is likely...and therefore theres a 60% chance of a moderate snow or (snow-sleet-rain mix) in the area Saturday afternoon into early Sunday. But theres also a 40% chance the storm just brushes us with light snow or even misses us completely to our south. Stay tuned.
