Story behind the photo : 132 – The Divine grace in SUNDARAM. SUNDARAM in Chennai!!! Very wonderful and emotional memories!! I wish share just a couple of nice divine chances through this post. Those days, sevadals in Chennai enjoyed some special privileges. Every day when Swami stayed in Sundaram, were festival days! . The organization recognised the sincere and hard seva activities by the sevadals. In late evenings, Swami will return back to SUNDARAM, after programmes in Abbotsbury, or Guindy, or Perambur, or houses of some most fortunate devotees. Sundaram will be in full glory with colourful illuminations. Many office bearers will be in attendance to receive Swami. The fortunate Seva dals, after a hectic day will also assemble there. They will stand in a single line from the gate, up to Shiva Shakthi entrance. The top Sundaram Bhajan singers will also be in attendance. With compassion, Swami will get down from the car near the main gate. The car will move away, and Swami will take a slow walk, looking at each and every one of the seva dals standing in line. We will never forget those privileged opportunities give to us During darshan times in Sundaram, seva dals had another special privilege. After full darshan is over, Swami would climb the steps in the Shanthi Vedika, (now converted in to Shiv Mandir), and would sit in the throne. Here is the wonderful chance for a seva dal. The earmarked sevadal will then climb up the steps and offer Swami, a Rose banquet ! Yes. Smilingly Swami will accept the flower, bless the sevadal with a pat and permit Padanamaskaram. I too got such chance! Here I wish to state about another wonderful chance of giving a flower to Swami. At the end of Nagar Sankeertan, Swami will appear in the Lotus shaped balcony on the first floor. A sevadal will be placed along the long passage. As soon as Swami has taken the place in the Balcony to accept Arathi, I moved closer to Swami. Swami lovingly accepted the flower and yet another Padanamskaram chance!!! Those days there were only limited number of sevadals in Chennai. Yes, it would be severe and hard work. And unique chances to enjoy Swami’s blessings, then there!!!
