Story time. Are you ready? Go grab a glass of NIngxia Red, a blanket, and lets curl up in a nice warm place and chat about introducing complete STRANGERS to YL. Ok, So this video is from July 10th. There are several things I would like to point out about the video and the situation, but let me give you a bit of back story first. Back in July, right after convention, we took my parents and Jers parents on an Alaskan Cruise. It was part of their Christmas Present, our parents have always taken us to some pretty awesome places growing up, and this is just something we wanted to do to bless them. ANYWAY, while we were there we had to do some pretty cool things, like ziplining (sorry mom for your broken leg, and the surgery, and you know, that you still cant walk good, that totally wasnt supposed to happen), we also went on a canoe to a glacier (before the snapped leg). THAT is where this story takes place...lets dive in, shall we? So I get asked often if I still enroll people. How do I now introduce people to YL now that pretty much any of my friends SHOULD know (not that they have dove in), that I use these crazy awesome oils. Well its an easy answer, this is a lifestyle for me. These products are part of my life. Just like I get up and shower each day, or eat each day, its part of who I am. I get asked if I take my oils everywhere with me so I can introduce others to these oils? Yes and No. Yes I take my oils EVERYWHERE with me, at all times, but NOT because I am on a mission to convert people to YL. I take them with me because I may need them. I mean that with everything inside of me. I dont have my oils with me in an attempt to get a new enrollment, I have them with me in case I have a stomach ache, or headache, or allergies start acting up....or in case I get bored on a train ride to Paris and I want to annoy some young girls with the oil smells next to me (kidding kidding, well kind of not kidding, thats another post). ANYWAY, lets stay on track. So on July 10th, I get off my Disney Cruise ship and board a boat to a remote area that you can ONLY get to by boat. Lisa (lady in the video here), gets off a TOTALLY different cruise ship and boards ANOTHER boat to the same remote area I am headed to. Once we get there, we are prepping to HIKE (IN BEAR TERRITORY, WHAT WAS I THINKING), to an area where we would board a canoe and go out to a glacier. You get the point...REMOTE. Before boarding it was time for a potty break. There were four outhouses and there was a long line for all of them. While standing in line with Alyssa, we begin to watch people come out of the outhouse gagging and covering their faces. UGH. I knew the smell would be horrible. HMMMMM. So I think to myself, Ill grab some lavender and put on my wrist, and just smell that while in there. I do so, put some on Alyssa because I am SUCH a loving mother, and then a funny thing happens. The smell of lavender begins to go down the line of people and they begin to look at me like WHAT IS THAT. So Im thinking, REALLY....do I want to make these people suffer, so I offer. Im like HEY GUYS, its just lavender, you can have some if you wish, they all take me up on the offer and I went down the line dripping lavender on everyones wrist. Then I have the attention of the line next to us, so I just go down the row there passing out lavender. I then go back to my place in line, stick the lavender back in my pocket. THE END. I dont give anyone a biz card, I dont say HEY YOU CAN ORDER FROM ME, I just let it be. We all then go to the bathroom, board our canoes and then head to the glacier. After we canoe to the glacier, walk around and are headed back to our canoe, LISA comes up to me and says HEY, thanks for the lavender back there. Im like OH YOU ARE WELCOME. Then I may totally butcher the story from here, but I believe she then mentions she had tried the oils before, but never ordered any, but JUST the week before had been thinking about them again, and asked if I did the biz end, meaning, could she get some oils from me. Hmmmmm. I kind of giggled, and was like ummm, yep, Im kind of into the biz end, I can hook you up. At this point I STILL dont have a biz card to give her (I so need to make some, Jer can you put that on a to do list, Ive never had biz cards), ANYWAY, she puts my info in her phone, I ask her if I can video her on this glacier, because this is just EPIC, then we part ways. Lisa contacted me not too long after that, I gave her my info on how to enroll and things just never turned out. I decided at the beginning, I would never really bother people about the whole oil stuff. Either they want to use it or they dont. Im never going to make someone feel pressured. I am sure I may have lost a few contacts along the way because of this, but its just how I wanted to do things. Well this past week, GUESS WHO CONTACTED ME? LIsa. Yep, she mentions she had several things come up, she couldnt get the kit way back in July, but NOW, now she is ready. We just a few seconds ago got her all squared away, and she already has people wanting to try the oils. So whats my lesson in this? First, I pray often, Lord, put me in contact with those who need these oils, those who will want these oils. I dont pray, Lord, send me a new enrollment, I pray, LORD, send me someone who NEEDS these. Now, everyone NEEDS them, but lets be real, not everyone is open to them. I dont remember how, but somehow the Lord got brought up when I was chatting with Lisa on that glacier, I speak of Him often just like I do the oils because its a LIFESTYLE, and somewhere in the convo she mentions she was a Christian, etc, etc. So anyway we made a connection and she knew I believed He was kind of in charge of our crazy meeting. Whats my second lesson with this? Its all about the perfect timing. Lisa couldnt enroll right away, but I didnt bug her and hound her and make her feel pressured. I let her know I was here, and would help her however I could and whenever I could. I am 100% positive me doing things this way has made me lose enrollments, but its just kind of my way that I decided to be like Lord, youve got this thing, and I will do what I can do and let you do the rest. It takes a lot of the pressure off. Finally, be genuine. I promise you with everything inside of me, I did NOT share the lavender with those people thinking I was going to make a buck off them. I shared because I wanted them to not gag while they were doing their business. People can tell if you are just being a pushy sales person. Just be real. Be genuine, be helpful. I believe the Lord honors that. So be genuine, let the oils be part of your lifestyle, and pray for the Lord to send people to you who need these, who are open to them, and then give Him credit along the way when He brings it together.
