Storyline[edit] The Ever After High storyline is based upon the children of famous fairy tale characters attending the eponymous high school, who are destined to follow in their parents’ footsteps to keep their stories alive through generations, otherwise their stories will cease to exist. However, Raven Queen is unhappy with her destiny and wishes to write her own path. The school gets divided in ‘Royals or Rebels’ which is between those who know they will have a happily ever after and those with less favorable destinies or those who prefer the idea of writing their own destiny. Dolls[edit] They are very similar to Monster High - the main differences are the rounder faces, thicker and more human-like bodies, and the differences in how different molds are utilized - example, Madeline Hatter is shorter to resemble her size in the series, and not her age. Unlike Monster High, the characters each share similar face molds. Characters[edit] The cast is composed of two types: the Royals, characters with more favorable destinies promised to them, which mainly includes princesses and other liked protagonists, and the Rebels, characters with either less favorable destinies, have a problem which prevents them from following their parents, or are fond of the idea of writing their own destinies. There are also other characters who lie with both sides, or those whose allegiance is not clear. Apple White[edit] Apple White is the princess daughter of Snow White, and is one of the lead characters of the franchise, along with Raven Queen. She is a Royal. Everyone is very fond of her and are often hypnotized by her beauty. She is friendly and responsible and wishes to live out her legacy and become queen; however, she can often be self-centered and naïve to what is going on outside of her perfect world. She respects Raven, her roommate, as a key character in her destiny, but does not understand the feelings of other people who rebel against their legacies, such as Raven, and is very reluctant to accept that her destiny will have to go differently. Raven Queen[edit] Raven Queen is the princess daughter of the Evil Queen, and the Good King, and is one of the lead characters of the franchise, along with Apple White. She is a Rebel. Raven is frustrated with everyone expecting her to be evil because her mother was, and wishes to go her own way; this inspires her to learn good magic. Raven was supposed to be rooming with Maddie, but Apple asked the headmaster to let them room together. Despite Apples persistent expectations for Raven to be evil, Raven acts amiable towards her roommate, although she is still annoyed by her general perkiness. Her color scheme is purple and silver. Briar Beauty[edit] Briar is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and Apples best friend. She is a Royal. She is very fun-loving, social and cheerful, and wishes to live her life to the fullest and do as much as she can, as she is destined to sleep for a hundred years. In fact, she sleeps a lot, which often gets her into trouble. However, Briar loves to party and shop, and is a good student when she concentrates. She has eight brothers and a sister, who all adore her. Her color scheme is pink and off-black. She is voiced by Kate Higgins. Madeline Hatter[edit] Madeline, often simply referred to as Maddie, is daughter of the Mad Hatter and best friends with Raven. She is a Rebel. She is funny and very eccentric, and she has a fondness for tea parties. She also likes to break the fourth wall, and is the only person to interact with the narrators, as only she can hear them because of her apparent madness. Maddie is reasonably happy with her destiny, seeing as it has to do with tea, but is fond of the idea of rewriting. She works after school in Mad Hatters Tea Shoppe and keeps a pet dormouse named Earl Grey. Her color scheme is turquoise and purple. She is voiced by Cindy Robinson. The riddle games. The fun with talking bunnies. Ashlynn Ella[edit] Ashlynn is the royal daughter of Cinderella and a friend to Briar and Apple. She is polite, hard-working and sensible, and runs the Glass Slipper shoe store. She has a guilty pleasure for shoes, as she has a collection of them; she even gets crazy when it comes to new ones. Ashlynns true love is Hunter Huntsman and is secretly dating him. Her color scheme is light aqua and pink. She is voiced by Laura Bailey. Fun Facts Birthday: October 15 Star Sign: Libra Favorite Food: Im a vegan, so whatever nature provides! Quote: I was never thrilled about being swept away by some random Prince Charming. True love should happen naturally. Hunter Huntsman[edit] Hunter is the son of a huntsman (either from Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White). He is very adventurous, yet slightly boastful and gets really annoyed rather easily, especially by a squirrel named Pesky. His true love is Ashlynn Ella and is secretly dating her, although he is not a prince nor a part of her story; this implies or it seems that both of their allegiances are unclear. Quote: What if I fall in love, but its not my destiny? Blondie Lockes[edit] Blondie is the daughter of Goldilocks and a friend to Apple and Briar. She is a Royal. She owns a MirrorPad and, along with it, runs her own Mirror Cast Show. She is bubbly and social with a love for gossip, and is the go-to girl for news; however, she is also quite picky, as she prefers to do and want things to be just right; for instance, she often butts into Apple and Charmings friendship to insist that they become a couple. Her color scheme is blue and yellow. She is voiced by Julie Maddalena. Cerise Hood[edit] Cerise is daughter of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. She hides her fathers identity and her own werewolf properties, including wolf-like ears, from the students and staff of Ever After High. Because of this, she mostly relies on her inner shell to protect the secret. She has a pet wolf named Carmine. Her color scheme is deep red and black. She is voiced by Rena S. Mandel.She also keeps her family secret very secretive. Daring Charming[edit] Daring is the son of Prince Charming and older brother of Dexter Charming. He is a Royal. He takes pride in his handsome appearance, including his shining teeth which radiate blinding light; however, unlike Dexter, he seems to be quite egotistical. Daring and Apple believe that they are destined to be together, but only see each other as friends for now. His signature color is gold. He is voiced by Evan Smith.He said his job is saving damsels in distress Hopper Croakington II[edit] Hopper is the son of the Frog Prince. He is a Royal. He is a shy individual and often turns back into a frog when tongue-tied. Hopper has a crush on Briar Beauty; at one point, he tried to ask Briar to a dance with the help of C.A Cupid, only for the plan to backfire. His color scheme is scarlet and green. He is voiced by Cam Clarke. Cedar Wood[edit] Cedar is the daughter of Pinocchio. She is clumsy and ditzy, as well as talkative, though she is not interested in lying, unlike her father, yet somewhat expects to do. Cedar appears to be made of wood: She has a stuffy nose that doesnt grow on account of being not allowed to lie; she wears acorns for earrings, a ring, and a bracelet on her left-hand-side wrist, all having wooden themes. Also, by the sound of her full name, she may or may not been given that name by the creators to resemble Cerises full name. Her color scheme is peach and lilac. She is voiced by Jonquil Goode. Dexter Charming[edit] Dexter is the brother of Daring Charming. He has a different personality than Daring: he seems to be somewhat shy, nervous, and more down-to-earth. He has a crush on Raven. His signature color is royal blue. He is voiced by Evan Smith. Lizzie Hearts[edit] Lizzie Hearts is the daughter of the Queen of Hearts. She is a Royal. She is happy with her destiny and doesnt want to change it, despite being destined as a villain. She has the same signature line as her mother, which is called Off With Her Head, as well as a singular British accent. She also has a heart-shaped birthmark or tattoo over her left eye. She also carries a deck of cards with her. Her best friend is Kitty Cheshire and Madeline Hatter. Her color scheme is red and black. She is voiced by Wendee Lee. Kitty Cheshire[edit] Kitty is the daughter of the Cheshire Cat. She has the same power as her dad which is disappearing into thin air, leaving just her smile behind, but also can be quite mischievous, since she has a knack for practical jokes. She has a light-pitch, girlish-like voice, and appears to be friends with Lizzie Hearts. She rooms with Madeline Hatter. Her color scheme is lavender and navy. She is voiced by Bekka Prewitt. Tiny[edit] Tiny is the son of The Giant from Jack and The Beanstalk and currently the largest student attending Ever After High. He appears to be kind, helpful and a little shy towards everybody at school. His signature color is olive green. He is voiced by Malcolm Danare. C.A. Cupid[edit] C.A. Cupid is the adopted daughter of Eros and Psyche. She transferred from Monster High. She has the power to make people fall in love; because of this, other students can count on her to help them find their true love or for advice. She has a crush on Dexter Charming. Her color scheme is light pink and gold. Like Raven, she is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald. Fun Facts Birthday: February 14 Star Sign: Aquarius Favorite Food: Cupcakes made with a whole lotta love! Quote: Everyone is so used to following their destinies, they dont know how to follow their heart. Im here to change that! Duchess Swan[edit] The daughter of the Swan Queen from Swan Lake. It is implied that whether she has a talent for ballet or not, based on her mothers story. Her rival is Apple White. Her signature color is pearl white. She is voice by Stephanie Sheh. Holly OHair[edit] Holly is one of the two daughters of Rapunzel and a new student in Ever After High. Her sister is Poppy OHair, who runs a hair salon. she has really long hair Poppy OHair[edit] Poppy is one of the two daughters of Rapunzel and a new student in Ever After High, along with her sister. Unique and creative, she runs a hair salon. Yet she has chin length wavy purple hair that is cutting edge. Headmaster Grimm[edit] Headmaster Milton Grimm is the founder of Ever After High. He does not want anyone to question their destiny as (he believes) their stories will be nonexistent because of this. He is also in charge of the Legacy Day pledge rehearsals. His brother, Giles Grimm, resides in the Vault of Lost Tales, located under the school. He is voiced by Audu Payton. Giles Grimm[edit] Giles Grimm is the brother of Headmaster Grimm. He resides in the Vault of Lost Tales, located underneath the school. It is implied that he has a curse which make him only to speak in riddle format. He makes a cameo in the Monster High movie 13 Wishes, in which he encourages a finder of Gigis lantern to wish for Gigi to have a friend: Whisp. He is voiced by Cam Clarke. DJ N-Chant[edit] The resident DJ of Ever After High. He prefers to only use his very own Imperial Gold Turntables to spin music. His appearance has not been shown yet. Narrators[edit] The narrators talk through the web series of Ever After High. One is female, who narrates for the Royals, and the other is male, who narrates the Rebel side. The two regularly bicker over the video when it comes to the two sides. Madeline Hatter is the only character to be able to hear and talk to them. Media[edit] Ever After High has released a website, and a series of webisodes on YouTube.[1] The first two describe the stories of the lead characters Raven and Apple, and were released on May 30, 2013. A TV special has been announced to air in the Fall of 2013. Book series[edit] An Ever After High book has been released in October 2013, written by Shannon Hale. A sequel has been announced to be released in March of 2014.[2] They will be published by Little, Brown and Company based upon their success with the Monster High series of books. In-store marketing[edit] In the USA the dolls are currently available at most stores, along with various merchandise including T-shirts, journals and jewelry based on the line. In the UK, Debenhams, ASDA, Argos and Tesco currently sells the dolls.
