Strange things... dreams. They are, in essence, your subconscious mind relaying your deeper innermost thoughts, your longings, yearnings, needs and fears perhaps, in visual form. They can also foretell the future, if one is alert enough to transform them on awakening. Mine always portray me in a younger image, good dreams come in the images of my job in a laboratory and my job in the hotel business. Bad dreams come with images of my home, circa 1967 to 1973. I surmised, years ago, that, if I go to bed happy, logic tells me I must wake up happy, as nothing happens when I sleep to change that. True for the most part but this week my dreams have been giving me girlfriends that want nothing more than to be with me, that love me unconditionally. Am I lonely perhaps, am I yearning or needing a companion? Who knows... My waking self is never lonely but, on awaking from such dreams, I feel a sense of loss, that can linger throughout the day making my real life totally insignificant and monotonous... Back to bed I think... Love you
