Strategic Account Manager - Wal-Mart: Details: Org Unit : SALT Area of Interest : Consumer Products Shift : N/A The Strategic Account Manager – Walmart U.S. (SAM) is responsible for driving profitability of Morton’s business with Walmart US through sales, merchandising, promotion, shelf sets, pricing, and products. Leads the development of business strategies to align Morton and Walmart’s strategic priorities. Continual proactive diagnoses of issues and opportunities required to frame the recommended course of action and strategy to profitably grow the business. Major Accountabilities 1. Sales Results: • Deliver sales and profitability targets for assigned portfolio • Manage new item sell in and maintain/grow existing distribution 2. Strategic Planning: • Assist in the development of quarterly business reviews presented to both Morton Management and Customers to include/influence Sales Profit Modular productivity and alignment New Product Speed To Shelf Sustainability improvements Merchandising Effectiveness Systemic cost elimination Deduction management and resolution • Proactively work with Morton Supply Chain organization to deliver customer scorecard expectations Forecast development and accuracy In Stock Levels Order Fill Rates MABD Compliance 3. Business Analysis: • Deep working knowledge of Retail Link and Nielsen syndicated data to provide comprehensive business analysis • Analyze Morton and competitive business trends to develop profitable growth platforms • Track and report competitive activity • Perform market visits and audits 4. Customer Influence: • Consistent face-to-face engagement with Walmart Buyers, Associate Buyers, Merchandising Assistants, etc. as appropriate • Actively pursue networking opportunities via industry share groups and customer forums • Manage 3rd party broker relationship – ensure maximum effectiveness of funding allocated • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with key Walmart Market Managers • Other duties as required Experience / dlvr.it/7PSr9b
