Street harassment. Its not a compliment. I dont owe anyone my attention if I am on my way to another location. Ive received sincere compliments before. I appreciate sincere compliments in appropriate scenarios. Comments like these are like receiving pictures of genitalia on my phone from people I have just met. Or somebody sneaking into my house while Im sleeping to say how good I look when I sleep. Its intrusive, unwanted, and a symptom of the kind of culture we live in where too many folks feel entitled to my and others attention. So....from an outgoing, friendly, and smiley kind of woman...lets learn some freaking etiquette. If women are in numbers saying this is harassment and to knock it off because its intrusive at best and threatening at worst, do it. It costs us all nothing to refrain.
