I originally posted these on ProbeTalk & MX6 under the username StreetThisMX6. But that was many years ago and Im sure all the Mazda/Ford KL guys/gals out there will appreciate this. This was the quickest pass I ever made in the car. At the time there were no engine management systems available. The car made 196 whp on a DynoJet with basic bolt-ons, some motor work, and a little weight reduction. And of course slicks were used to better the 60 times at the track. Before the car was totaled in 2004 I switched to a set of custom cams. The new cams netted a personal best MPH of 103.4 mph but I never was able to better the ET. For 2015 I purchased a 1996 Mazda MX-6 LS. It should be fun to build another one knowing what I know now. Not to mention all the technology that is now available. The goal is to better the 13.51 ET on a street tire, while still having a car that turns and stops better than it did from the factory.
