Streetlight Changeover to LED Lights has Begun--Very Exciting!! We have begun replacing North Ogdens streetlights with crystal-clear, power-efficient LED bulbs instead of those ghastly, pale, high pressure sodium yellow lights! We replaced 40 burned-out streetlights throughout the city with the new LED lights this week, and they look great! As the sodium light bulbs burn out, we will replace them with the LED bulbs that fit our existing light fixtures. So, there are no new wiring costs and no working bulbs are wasted during the changeover. All the lights in the city should be transitioned over within a couple years as the sodium lights burn out quickly. They usually burn out within 12-18 months, whereas the new LED lights will last 7+ years! This will cut down on maintenance costs significantly. These lights provide beautiful, clean light and will save ton of money on power as well! Our fantastic Public Works Dept. has also found a credit from Rocky Mountain Power that will pay most of the cost of the new LED bulbs! Better for the environment, better for the taxpayer, better for seeing the stars, and way better looking for our city! These bulbs have been changed to LED, with hundreds more to follow: 100 E 3251 N 1050 E 3251 N 1300 E 3090 N 1700 N 925 E 1750 N 650 E 1875 N 152 W 1875 N 200 W 1875 N 275 W 1900 N 375 E 200 W 1747 N 2050 N 568 E 1350 E 2350 N 1050 E 2850 N 300 E 3000 N 3100 N 425 E 3175 N 680 E 3200 N 1225 E 3250 N 372 E 3300 N 610 E MOUNTAIN RD 1225 E 3400 N 850 E 400 E 2650 N 450 E 1947 N 500 E 1942 N 3100 N 500 E 500 E 3630 N 575 E 3208 N 650 E 3225 N FRUITLAND DR 2100 N HOLIDAY DR 3201 N 3100 N HOLIDAY DR LAKEVIEW DR 3675 N 332 E Pleasant View Dr
