Strict steps should be taken against ragging with zero tolerance - TopicsExpress

Strict steps should be taken against ragging with zero tolerance : Ragging is an old practice which had been exercised years after years and still it goes on in spite of introducing strict regulation on curbing the menace of ragging by UGC in 2009. Seniors have a responsibility to make comfort zone for the juniors, rather than showing their seniority. It’s a pity that JU students are protesting with a wrong demand and it’s more pity that vice chancellor’s office had been under siege for 51 hours by agitated students. If they think it is not a case of ragging and those two engineering students had been expelled without doing anything wrong (which I do not believe), they should had proceed in a peaceful way. But the way they had protested with their demand (obviously for wrong reason) , it is not expected of FETSU. Hope they will show some maturity and do their protest (though not desirable for a wrong reason) in a peaceful way.
