Stripping off old garments and what do you have >? -- a bare grain -->? building a new personality is a lot like replacing an outfit that goes along with you as a person -- a question was asked by a reader -- what did Jesus mean my you can not put new wine into old wine skins.../ ??? Consider the outfit that we wear as true Christians: Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm, therefore, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist,+ wearing the breastplate of righteousness,+ 15 and having your feet shod in readiness to declare the good news of peace.+ 16 Besides all of this, take up the large shield of faith,+ with which you will be able to extinguish all the wicked one’s burning arrows.*+ 17 Also, accept the helmet of salvation,+ and the sword of the spirit, that is, God’s word,+ 18 while with every form of prayer+ and supplication you carry on prayer on every occasion in spirit.+ And to that end stay awake, constantly making supplication in behalf of all the holy ones. If you cannot manage the outfit -- your grain is still bare = be sure you are fully quipped before going into battle :) Stripping off the old personality means we have managed to eliminate things that would stop us from wearing the equipment that we need to win in our battles as dedicated servants--give heed = have life in your self -- before you strip off the old personality ...you could be found naked ... guard yourself within the heavy equipment of our faith :)
