Student loans are big business, loan companies and government are both raking it in. Why else do you think politicians would want all students college ready? Because an educated society can govern itself? NO! Because an educated society will build a long lasting culture that will not only nurture each other but also protect the earth? NO! Because we can make massive profits off the students that get to college and then privatize k-12 education for not getting all students to college and then build more prisons to profit off of society for the ones that made mistakes and are usually uneducated. They should change the pledge to one nation under money and profit for all. Big Banks that crashed the world economy pay less interest and practically zero taxes while a person that is trying to better their self and subsequently society is going to be charged 7%.
