Students aiming for admission to IITs and NITs are confused over preparing for the JEE, which is expected to be held in April/May 2014. The IIT Council, the governing body for all the IITs, is yet to give any clarity over whether the controversial “top-20 percentile norm” to be eligible for admission to IITs will be continued or not after qualifying in JEE (Advanced). It’s a similar case with NITs, which faced the ire of the students on account of ‘normalisation of Class XII Board exam marks’ to decide final ranks in JEE (Main).
