Study Finds Dates Make Impression In 12 Minutes A new study has found that first dates only have 12 minutes to make an impression. According to the research conducted by life insurance company AXA, singles tend to form opinions about their date quickly based on factors like their smile, eye contact and tone of voice. Having fresh-smelling breath and a good sense of fashion were also voted among the fastest way to make a good impression on a date. Some of the biggest turn-offs among the respondents includes swearing and having bad body odor. The study also found that many singles already have some kind of impression of their date before even showing up, by checking their social media pages beforehand.
