Study On Benjamin franklin One of the prominent founding fathers of America is Benjamin Franklin. Apart from this role, Benjamin is also a re-known writer, diplomat, inventor, publisher, philosopher and scientist. One of his well known experiments is based on lightning and electricity. He published the Pennsylvania Gazette and served in the congress as a Postmaster General. He invented the rod used for lighting, bifocals and the Benjamin stove. He wrote his own Autobiography in French but it was later translated into English after his death and published in 1793 in London. Section 1 When Benjamin established himself in Pennsylvania, none of the shops selling books was reliable in all the colonies South of Boston. The printers in both Philadelphia and New York sold only stationery and school books which were very common. England was the place People who loved reading were forced to send for books. Each subscriber was supposed to pay a certain down payment to help in purchasing books in additional to the annual fee to aid in buying more books (Archiving Early America, 2009). The lending in the library was open in a single day during the week and the subscribers were charged double the books value if they failed to return it on time. Augmentation of the library was done via donations and reading was made fashionable. The community attention could not be diverted from studying as there was no other public amusement. They acquainted themselves well with books making it easy for the community to grasp instructions well after sometime. The people in Philadelphia were more intelligent compared to people from other places in the world and America (Archiving Early America, 2009). Benjamin benefited from the library since he could constantly study setting a minimum of an hour daily for this amusement. This partially repaired the damage of the learned education his father had wished for him but had been lost. Reading kept him busy as he never indulged in games, frolics or visited the taverns. His business continued flourishing and this assisted him in taking care of his young family (Archiving Early America, 2009). Section 2 Benjamin confesses that he conceived a project that was arduous and bold to be morally perfect. His greatest wish was to live a faultless life and he was ready to conquer it naturally, through company or by customs.
