"Study Reveals SAP Partners To Earn USD 220 Billion Through 2017 With Big Data And Analytics" -- Global research firm IDC today issued a new infographic commissioned by SAP that estimates SAP partners around the world will earn USD 220 billion in revenue in the next five years related to analytics and big data solutions from the company. According to IDC, this is in line with a sharp increase in customer demand for skills in advanced analytics and predictive analytics over the next 12 months, as well as a desire to control costs, optimize operations and manage risks. The announcement was made from the SAP Americas Partner Leadership Summit, being held July 29-30 in Miami. From 2005 to 2020, the digital universe will grow from 130 exabytes to 40,000 exabytes according to IDC. By improving customers’ capabilities to master the massive growth of data to make informed business decisions, SAP will play a major role in optimizing businesses to run better and more sustai nably in the future. The multi-billion dollar partner opportunity related to SAP products includes reselling, professional services, hardware and additional intellectual property and solutions developed on top of analytics solutions from SAP and the SAP HANA platform. Further, this is an opportunity that spans the globe, with USD 48 billion in revenue estimated in the Asia-Pacific-Japan region; USD 70 billion in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and USD 102 billion in the Americas region. Regional-specific versions of the infographic are also available. The infographic, “Worldwide Ecosystem Analytics & Big Data: Growth Opportunities for SAP Partners” (July 2013), also reveals that the top 10 industries for these analytics and big data opportunities are manufacturing, government, communications and media, banking, professional services, retail, healthcare, utilities and insurance. “SAP and its partners make a significant impact on the global economy,” said Da rren Bibby, vice president for IDC Channels and Alliances Research. “SAP does an excellent job delivering great products for partners to work with, as well as effective sales, marketing and training resources.
