İELTS 5.0 The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam welcomes applications from Amsterdam FoundationCampus students that have successfully completed their Undergraduate Foundation Programme. It is a three-year full-time study programme completely taught in English. Year 1 All students cover, among other things, the academic undergraduate basics of mathematics, statistics, economics and business. Students acquire writing, presentation and research skills. After completing the first year, students receive a certificate. Year 2 and 3 Students choose to specialise in Business Studies, Economics or Economics and Finance. In the Economics and Business Studies specialisations, students are encouraged to complete an international exchange period and study at one of the many high-level partner universities of the Faculty of Economics and Business worldwide. Business Studies Students take an interdisciplinary approach to understand the complex issues facing businesses today. Economics Specialising in economics gives students broad knowledge as well as analytical insight into the field of economics. The focus is on the functioning of markets and the relationship between the market and government. Topics include: The development of employment The impact of public expenditure on investments of companies. Economics and Finance Students focus on economic decision making in the fields of (macro-)economics and business economics. Subjects include: Monetary economics Banking Investments and portfolio theory Advanced corporate finance.
