Stuff I seem to want to take with me forever, because I cant seem - TopicsExpress

Stuff I seem to want to take with me forever, because I cant seem to bring myself to give it away -- A much worn red plastic bowl that was the babies cereal bowl, and then for a time after that was a cat water bowl. Note that the younger baby is now 30. The babies crib quilt, which is stained so its not going to be passed on to any hypothetical grandbabies. Im working up to taking it to Goodwill. The oak rocking chair nobody sits in any more, but I used to rock the babies in it. I think I see a pattern here. The cremated remains of cats Muffin, Tara, Lucy and Lily, in tin urns. Boxes of photos that I will never get around to labeling and dating. Books, books, books, books, and some other books. Various stuff other people in my family wanted to take with them forever, including -- A few of my old baby clothes, preserved by my mother. My mothers angel food cake pan. My grandmothers china, which Ive never used. I think Grandma bought it out of the Sears catalog shortly after World War II. A hand-made wheel for carding wool, which I believe dates to the 1890s and belonged to a great grandmother. Various small glass or ceramic items, including a glass pitcher and plate of indeterminate age. The plate appears to be pressed glass and possibly is very old, like older than the carding wheel. Boxes of photos nobody ever got around to labeling and dating. I dont know who some of those people are. What about you?
