Stupidly just after celebrating my 35th birthday and being in probably the worst physical shape of my life I have decided that this would be a good time to do my first Half Marathon. Not my brightest move but on September 28th I will be lining up at the start of the Robin Hood Half Marathon. To try and make me feel better about this madness I have decided to try and raise some money on the back of it. As many of you may be aware my friend and Sleaford Town Manager, Kris Jones was unfortunately recently in a serious road accident. It was the sterling work of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance that ensured Kris received the immediate medical attention he desperately required and having spoken to his wife, Rachel Jones, I will be raising money to be split 50/50 between this charity and Sleaford Town FC. I have a meeting set up with the fundraising team at the charity to look at how we can set up a page that allows the money to be split but in the meantime I will have to do it the old fashioned way and will be out nagging at people with a sponsorship form.
