Subhanallah: English Teacher Slumps, Dies In Zamfara: __________ An English teacher with Government Secondary School Gusau, Hajiya Sadiya Alhaji, had mysteriously slummed and died last Monday immediately after she signed the school attendance register. The unusual death had thrown her colleagues into serious confusion as one of her closed friends said, “ Th late Sadiya arrived the school safely on the fateful Monday and proceeded to the staff room to sign the attendance register”, explaining that the manner which she died was not only terrifying but was an unusual sight that touched everyone present. The vice principal of the school, Malam Nazir Tsafe, told LEADERSHIP Sunday that the death of Malama Sadiya Alhaji came as a shock to many, considering the manner she related and socialised with everyone in the school and particularly her religious profile. “Late Sadiya converted to Islam due to her long years of relating with the people of Zamfara,” he said. He explained that she was buried immediately after her husband was informed of the incident. Hundreds of Muslims attended her funeral processesion and she was described as very religious and God- fearing who made a lot of sacrifice for the development of Zamfara State. The police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Zamfara Police command, DSP Lawal Abdullahi confirmed the incidence saying the death of late Sadiya was unusual and unnatural, and that the police was now waiting for medical report to ascertain the cause of the mysterious death.
