Thank-you for your community interest, Diana MacKinnon-Furlong ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Albert Bridge Recreation Association at the Mira Gut Tank Pond held its 18th Annual Trout Fishing Derby, Saturday, May 10th, 2014 Although the air was damp and chilly the event was very well attended and with the fish biting to the children’s delight. The largest fish weighed in at 3lbs and 18” in length. The trophy went to Denver Burke. Winners for the various age categories are: 7 yrs of age and under: 1st place Roy Mc Cormick, 2nd place: Carter Mc Donald and 3rd place: Kobe Chan 10yrs of age and under 1st place: Denver Burke, 2nd place: Breanna Howell, and 3rd place: T.J. MacDonald 17 yrs of age and under: 1st place: Austin Leamon, 2nd place: T.J. Jerro and 3rd place: Ron Petrie. Special Thanks to the Lamson family. Harold, Chris, Brenda, and Cathy Peddle (Lamson) have been dedicated to organizing this annual and successful derby. Also Thanks to Dave Keeping and Terry Burke, Martin Doucette and the many sponsors for their continual support. The sounds of the children’s laughter and shouts of glee is something they should be very proud of.
