Subject: Comhdháil Mhic Léinn na Ceiltise / Celtic Students Conference A chairde, I am writing to the Irish / Celtic departments in Ireland to spread the word about the third annual Celtic Studies students’ conference which is to be held in March in Cornwall. The first conference in Edinburgh in 2013 and the second in Aberystwyth this year were very successful, and we hope to attract a large number of students to Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for them to meet students from different countries and backgrounds, and to present their work, if they wish, in a supportive environment among their peers. The conference is for both undergraduates and postgraduates. We would be very grateful if you could tell your students about this and distribute the following information about registration and call for papers (also as an attachment). Le gach dea-ghuí, Christopher Lewin [English below] Cumann Mhic Léinn Ceiltise na hÉireann agus na Breataine ~ An Tríú Comhdháil Bhliantúil, Falmouth, 20-22 Márta 2015. Eolas agus Gairm ar Pháipéir Beidh an Chomhdháil ar siúl ar Champas Penryn, Ollscoil Exeter, Falmouth, ar an tSathairn, 21 Márta, agus ar an Domhnach, 22 Márta, 2015, agus beidh cruinniú fáilte ann Dé hAoine, 20 Márta. Is é cuspóir an Chumainn ceangail chaidrimh agus scoláireachta a dhaingniú i measc mac léinn a dhéanann staidéar ar theangacha, litríochtaí agus cultúir Cheilteacha. Táimid ag iarraidh deis a thabhairt do scoláirí as gach cearn na n-oileán seo agus thar lear taithíocht a dhéanamh ar a gcuid oibre a chur i láthair i dtimpeallacht gharach dháimhiúil. Bainfimid leas as an rath a bhí ar na comhdhálacha a reáchtáladh roimhe i nDún Éidean (2013) agus in Aberystwyth (2014) sa tsúil go dtiocfaidh forás ar an eagraíocht san am atá amach romhainn. Is féidir leat clárú anois chun freastal ar an gComhdháil agus achoimre de do pháipéar a chur isteach más áil leat. Tá sé furasta taisteál go Corn na Breataine ar an eitleán ó Éirinn go Exeter, go Bristol, nó go Birmingham agus iarnród agus busanna ag dul go Falmouth féin. Tá báid fharantóireachta ag dul go Holyhead agus go Fishguard sa Bhreatain Bheag freisin. Gairm ar Pháipéir Táthar ag lorg tairiscintí ó lucht an léinn Cheiltigh agus disciplíní gaolmhara, idir fhochéimithe agus iarchéimithe, ar pháipéir 15 nóiméad ar fad a phléann le hábhar ar bith atá bainteach leis na teangacha, litríochtaí agus cultúir Cheilteacha. Féadfar na páipéir a chur i láthair in aon cheann de na teangacha Ceilteacha nó i mBéarla. Beidh ateangaireacht chomhuaineach ar fáil don Bhreatnais, do Ghaeilge na hÉireann, do Ghaeilge na hAlban agus don Choirnis. Iarrtar ar an té ar mian leis a pháipéar a chur i láthair sa Bhriotáinis nó sa Mhanainnis aistriúchán Béarla scríofa dá chuid cainte a sholáthar. Tabharfar an t-aistriúchán don lucht freastail le go bhféadfadh cách an cur i láthair a thuiscint. Ní mór do gach achoimre gan a bheith thar 200 focal ar fad agus caithfidh sí a bheith istigh faoi 01.02.2015 (is féidir leat clárú fós tar éis an dáta seo, mura mbíonn uait ach freastal ar an gComhdháil). Is £10 í an táille chlárúcháin a chlúdaíonn costais bhia agus deoch chomh maith le raidhse féiríní agus imeachtaí saor in aisce!
