Submissions now open for the 2013 International Interactive Film Festival (IIFF) & Awards (prizes worth $20,000 in total, 7 days trip to Korea) We are thrilled to announce the 2013 IIFF and IIFF Awards. IIFF is an online international film festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the war armistice. We are announcing a call for entries for works (videos 5 - 10 mins, photos, music videos) that focus on Korean War veterans or depict traces of the Korean War. We will select 10 - 15 of the most touching stories and create an omnibus film which will be Far From Forgotten 2. Hosted by the Embassy of the United States in Seoul, the film will be shown at the opening of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History in Seoul on October 10th. Open to submission until September 1st, it will be a great opportunity for students at your university to build meaningful experience. Attracting participants from around the globe, the festival provides students the opportunity for their works to be selected for screening at a valuable event, supporting Korean War Veterans. It is ideal for any students looking to pursue a career in films, art and the media. The festival is not limited to students and is open to everyone. We encourage everyone from amateurs to pros to submit any original work (any original work that has already been premiered are also accepted). Grants of $500 will be awarded to the winners of each category, and a grant for a Korea trip opportunity for 7 days Peace Camp for Youth will be presented to the winner of the Grand Prize Award by the Korean Government. Two winners of IIFF can participate in the Peace Camp for Youth which will be held in Korea. The descendants of the Korean War Veterans of the 21 UN allied nations and young Koreans can share opinions on the division of the Korean Peninsula and the importance of the world peace. Winners can bring one friend. IIFF is co-created by the Korean War Commemoration Committee and Jiart and sponsored by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of ROK. Please refer to the IIFF Guide attached to this email for further information about IIFF. We would greatly appreciate you forwarding this on to any students at your university who may be interested in such an opportunity. If you or your students require more details regarding the festival, do visit our website iiff.kr or contact us directly +82 10 3578 5491- we would be more than happy to help with any enquiries. Many thanks for your help in supporting the IIFF and the Korean War Veterans!
