Submitted a FOIA request to the City of Richmond regarding a new contract between the City and GEO Group, an incredibly wealthy and powerful private prison company who will be managing a new offender reporting center here very soon. It is part of my ongoing research on this subject but this info will be immediately applied, discussed and released to the public. The City of Richmond charges $23/hour to look up and copy the documents I need, and they want me to pay them for two hours of their time. I spend so much time and money I dont really have into different activist projects, which has been stressful lately, and so I am wondering if this is specifically something people would want to donate a dollar to?
