Such a great article this morning. My daughter often says how positive all my posts are. Ive had others ask if I live in a perfect world because I never seem upset or that nothing ever goes wrong. Its quite the opposite. One of my grandmothers told me at 10 that I was ugly and worthless and would never amount to anything. That was the same month that my other grandma, my beloved one, died. The one time my grandparents visited me after that, I was in college. They were in town and these same words were repeated by both. That baggage haunted me for years. Ive led a successful multimillion dollar family business with my parents for the last 17 years, Im an author, I literally saved my children. However, so many people have walked out of my life including my dads side of the family, and my own brother who many thought we were twins growing up, we were that close. With some of that baggage shared, we have had plenty of challenges along lifes way. So many humans struggle with self-worth and self-love. Many have the same brain noise and bullshit story playing in their head that I did and I listened to it for much too long. The greatest gift I gave myself was no longer owning that noise. Things happen everyday. Its just how I choose to respond. We only are given one life. We only have today. Isnt it worth making it utterly amazing and being happy everyday? Reading through this article and the list of items shared, it makes me smile, and I hope it makes you smile too. m.huffpost/us/entry/5972932
