Such a sad story. Parents please please make sure your children are in the correct car seats for the age & height and that they are rear-facing for as long as possible (preferably to age 3-4). You are their safe haven, their protector and it is your job to make sure they are restrained properly and that the people you let watch them know the correct ways also. Parker out grew his 5 pt harness and I literally had tears thinking we had to go to booster mode, but then I found Car Seats for The Littles group and learned that technically he should still be harnessed for a couple more years even though his seat said its time to go to high back booster. We just spent over $300 buying 2 new car seats. Did we want to spend that? No, but you cant put a price on safety.
