If you have any questions or to request a prospectus by mail, contact SAL at 757-925-0448 or Suffolk Art Gallery at 757-514-7284. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Suffolk Art League and Suffolk Art Gallery invite you to submit artwork for Waterways A Juried Exhibition of Works Relating to the Waters that Surround Us Suffolk Art Gallery 118 Bosley Ave., Suffolk, VA September 7-October 25, 2013 Eligibility: Work to be exhibited may be executed using any medium and inspired by the "waters that surround us". Artwork must be original, completed within the past 2 years and not have been exhibited at the Suffolk Art Gallery. Submission: Complete the Exhibit Entry Form below and submit with images on a CD or by email (instructions below) by July 26. Each artist may submit up to 2 works. There is no fee to enter work in this exhibit. Artwork may be for sale. A 30% consignment will be retained (please include when pricing artwork). Artists will be notified by August 9th regarding selection of artwork. Please be aware that one, two or none of your work may be selected Presentation: 2-D artwork must be framed, with a wire on the back for hanging. No clip type frames or sawtooth hangers will be accepted. We will provide pedestals for 3-D works. Delivery: Artwork selected for the exhibit should be delivered to the Suffolk Art Gallery on Saturday, August 24, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or Tuesday, August 27, 1- 6 p.m. You may ship artwork to the Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., SuffolkVA23434, in a reusable carton, with return postage included to arrive no later than August 23. Submitting an entry to this exhibition constitutes an understanding and acceptance of the conditions set forth in this prospectus. All reasonable care and precautions will be taken in handling the work. Works accepted in the exhibit will be insured for the duration of the exhibit. Awards: There will be five awards presented. Return of Work: Artwork must remain on display through the duration of the exhibition. Work should be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 26 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or Tuesday, Oct. 29 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Any work left at the Suffolk Art Gallery past these dates will not be insured. Work left 15 days past these dates becomes sole property of the City of Suffolk.
