Sufism Defined:- Sufi’s believe that Allaah is the Source of Strength and the Guide to the Straight Path through Muhammad [s.a.w], Ahl-i-beyt, Shahhba, and Awliya Karam and by pious righteous Sufi. SUFISM DEFINED: - Sufism comes from suf, which is Arabic for wool, a reference to the woolen garments worn by Sufi ascetics. Sufi mystics themselves have linked Sufism to suffa, the Arabic word for purity, and sophia, the Greek word for wisdom, a reference to Sufisms emphasis on spiritual insight. Sufism is associated with mystical piety, moral discipline and divine unity. Sufism has also given rise to exuberant forms of religious expression, such as singing, crying and the whirling meditation of the Sufi Dervishes. Sufism within Islam do the veneration of saints, Sufi a human with God, Sufism became an impetus to practice spiritual self-discipline and Islamic renewal. Sufism has continued universally followed tradition in mainstream Islam, the rise of true obedience to God, requires purifying the self to faith from Sufi shirk and other violations of self principles. Sufism Is mystical experience, its veneration of saints, its openness to members of other faiths and its ascetic self-denial as well as excessive self-expression. The Wahhabi’s/ Salafi’s do condemnation of Sufism through their led wahhabi/ salafi school textbooks in Saudi Arabia assert that anyone who visits a saints tomb is an apostate who, if not repentant, should be killed. Sufism (or taṣawwuf; الصوفية) is a branch of Islam, defined by adherents as the inner, mystical dimension of Islam; A practitioner of this tradition is generally known as a ṣūfī (صُوفِيّ). Sufi’s belong to different turuq orders – congregations formed around a spiritual master – which meet for spiritual sessions (majalis), in meeting places known as zawiyahs, khanqahs, or tekke. Sufi turuq/orders trace their original precepts from Muhammad[s.a.w] through his cousin and son-in-law Ali[AS], Sufis believe they are practicing ihsan (perfection of worship) as: Worship and serve Allah as you are seeing Him and while you see Him not yet truly He sees you. Sufis consider themselves as the original true proponents of this pure original form of Islam. Sufism is opposed by Wahhabi’s/ Salafis extremists. Classical Sufi scholars have defined Sufism as a science whose objective is the reparation of the heart and turning it away from all else but God. Purify ones inner self from filth, and beautify it with a variety of praiseworthy traits. Sufism as simply the name for the inner or esoteric dimension of Islam which is supported and complemented by outward or exoteric practices of Islam, such as; it is absolutely necessary to be a Muslim to be a true Sufi, because Western countries allow non-Muslims to receive instructions on following the Sufi path. Classical Sufis were characterized by their attachment to dhikr (a practice of repeating the names of God, often after prayers). Thus, Sufism has been characterized, the science of the states of the lower self (the ego), and the way of purifying this lower self of its reprehensible traits, while adorning it instead with what is praiseworthy, whether or not this process of cleansing and purifying the heart is in time rewarded by esoteric knowledge of God. This can be conceived in terms of two basic types of law, an outer law concerned with actions, and an inner law concerned with the human heart. The outer law consists of rules pertaining to worship, transactions, marriage, judicial rulings, and criminal law—the inner law of Sufism consists of rules about repentance from sin, the purging of contemptible qualities and evil traits of character, and adornment with virtues and good character. The typical early Sufi lived in a cell of a mosque and taught a small band of disciples. To enter the way of Sufism, the seeker begins by finding a teacher, as the connection to the teacher is considered necessary for the growth of the pupil. The teacher, to be considered genuine, must have received the authorization to teach from another Master of the Way, in an unbroken succession leading back to Muhammad [s.a.w]. It is the transmission of the divine light from the teachers heart to the heart of the student, rather than of worldly knowledge transmitted from mouth to ear, that allows the adept to progress. In addition, the genuine teacher will be utterly strict in his adherence to the Divine Law. The most important doctrines of Sufism is the concept of the Perfect Man (al-Insan al-Kamil). This doctrine states that there will always exist upon the earth a Pole or Axis, of the Universe—a man who is the perfect channel of grace from God to man and in a state of wilaya (sanctity, being under the protection of God).
