Sugars- I love the simplicity of this performance. Miss Warwick is great here. Ill admit that this was back-in-the-day and the dress is a lil church-y, but she is singing her song and does not have to do anything-but SING. Somehow, this lady has remained a classic! -No twerkin, no cussin out the audience, and no disrespecting herself! Dionne does not have a wide range vocally, but nor did Billie Holiday. Sade doesnt waste her time over-singing either. But all three performers are timeless. I have learned over my years as a vocalist, that it is not always about the flash, and the brash. Vocalists like her are still around, delighting crowds worldwide: not because they resorted to tricks to get the audience, but because the authenticity of their artistry dominated!
