Suggestion for everyone - contact your Primary Physicians billing department and ask them what companies they have positive results handling Medicare claims and which are not so good. We did this. They told us to stay away from Humana Gold, which is a Medicare PLAN. Look for a Medicare SUPPLEMENT, no mater if you use AON or any other insurance carrier. Remember- by law, which Congress passed in 1990, all companies providing any PLAN or SUPPLEMENT, must have the exact same coverage as any other provider, across the country. The variables are the state you live in and your health. Plus, the carrier you pick can decide how much they want their premiums to be. Dont stay with a carrier because you always had them. Or because they are AON. Look for the company who is charging you the lowest premium and go with them. The coverage is the exact same, across the country. Its the law. This is all in your Medicare book that you receive each year. Suggest you compare AON premium costs with other companies that offer the exact same PLAN or SUPPLEMENT that you choose. Again, refer to your MEDICARE book for all this information and a whole lot more. If you understand how Medicare works, it will be much easier for you to make a decision with AON or other companies.
