Suggestions for future mud runs: -fingerless gloves (they worked great- help your grip when youre trying to get a hold on slippery rope/beam. I found that having my fingernails free & able to dig in to mud on certain obstacles was a big help). -soft/unobtrusive knee & elbow pads (after 12 miles, the only thing that really pains me the day after is my knees. One, which I racked on the quarter-pipe obstacle, and from dragging along mud and dirt during low obstacles. Overall, it was a hell of a lot of fun. Didnt really start feeling fatigued until around mile 10, but I wouldve loved to have kept going. Cant wait for the next one (which I have Warrior Dash this Saturday, which should be decidedly easier, considering its only a 5k). All in all, I would recommend this to just about anybody. It was a great experience, and I am so glad to have been able to share it with my oldest friend.
