Sultan laments tagging muslims as terrorists - newspaper headlines today. Who is he lamenting to? To muslims involved in terrorism or to non-muslims and muslims alike who have had the temerity to mention the religion of the terrorists currently ravaging not only Nigeria but much of the rest of the world - Libya, Algeria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Africa Republic, Kenya, etc? What we expect from Sultan Saad is to call his muslim-led to order. As the supreme leader of muslims in Nigeria, he must accept responsibility for both peaceful and violent muslims. It is no use preaching to victims of Boko Haram and other islamic terrorist groups that islam is a religion of peace. What matters to and bothers objective and truthful people is the terrorist activism of those who are not only muslims but have repeatedly told us that their terrorism is in furtherance of islam. The full name of Boko Haram is unambiguous. As happened in Turkey years ago and is happening in Egypt now, peaceful muslims in Nigeria must confront islamic bad eggs and stop pushing that responsibility to non-muslims.
