Summary For Lesson 1 Our Loving Heavenly Father The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (Jer. 31:3) Oh What A Love - https://youtube/watch?v=wwMnI7TFAW8 During this week, the writer of the lesson reminded us of the importance of our connection with our Heavenly Father. Through the life of Christ on earth we gained a better understanding of the compassion of our Heavenly Father. Satan would have us believe that the Father is a stern God who is waiting to punish us from the errors that we have made. But this is far from the truth. While the Father hates our transgressions He does not hate us. He is not willing that any one of us should perish but that all of us should come to repentance. In Christ He was reconciling the world unto Himself. He has made everything available for us to overcome sin through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. He continues to exercise patience with our breaking of the same commandments and whenever we request help and forgiveness, His arms are ever present to give us what we need to overcome the fiery darts of Satan. O what manner of love the Father has given unto us that we should become sons and daughters of the King of kings and Lord of lords. There is nothing that the Father would not do to rescue us from the clutches of Heaven. To demonstrate the extent of His willingness to save us, God the Holy Spirit was given to every single human being to dwell in our heart. In order to give us victory over temptation God decided to live within our body temple. O what a love.. This everlasting unconditional love is something we are still trying to understand. I guess the best thing we can do at this stage is just to accept this Love. Sis White said, Sis White said, “Let us study the words that Christ spoke in the upper chamber on the night before His crucifixion. He was nearing His hour of trial, and He sought to comfort His disciples, who were to be so severely tempted and tried. Let not your heart be troubled, He said; ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither Thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him. . . Lord, show us the Father, said Philip, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works. John 14:1-10. The disciples did not yet understand Christs words concerning His relation to God. Much of His teaching was still dark to them. They had asked many questions that revealed their ignorance of Gods relation to them and to their present and future interests. Christ desired them to have a clearer, more distinct knowledge of God. These things have I spoken unto you in parables, He said; but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in parables, but I shall show you plainly of the Father. John 16:25, margin. When on the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples, they understood the truths that Christ had spoken in parables. The teachings that had been mysteries to them were made clear. The understanding that came to them with the outpouring of the Spirit made them ashamed of their fanciful theories. Their suppositions and interpretations were foolishness when compared with the knowledge of heavenly things which they now received. They were led by the Spirit, and light shone into their once darkened understanding. But the disciples had not yet received the complete fulfillment of Christs promise. They received all the knowledge of God that they could bear, but the complete fulfillment of the promise that Christ would show them plainly of the Father was yet to come. Thus it is today. Our knowledge of God is partial and imperfect. When the conflict is ended and the Man Christ Jesus acknowledges before the Father His faithful workers, who, in a world of sin, have borne true witness for Him, they will understand clearly what now are mysteries to them. Christ took with Him to the heavenly courts His glorified humanity. To those who receive Him, He gives power to become the sons of God, that at last God may receive them as His, to dwell with Him throughout eternity. If, during this life, they are loyal to God, they will at last see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads. Revelation 22:4. And what is the happiness of heaven but to see God? What greater joy could come to the sinner saved by the grace of Christ than to look upon the face of God and know Him as Father?” June 29, 2014 We Will Bow Down And Worship Our Heavenly Father In Reverence Only After Gaining A Complete Revelation Of Him Through The Life Of Jesus If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Matt. 7:9; Phil. 4:19) June 30, 2014 Unless We Allow The Holy Spirit To Dwell In Us We Will Never Know God Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. (jer. 9:23, 24) July 1, 2014 Our Heavenly Father Extended Incomparable Love When Jesus Died As A Ransom For Our Sins For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) July 2, 2014 The Mercy Tenderness And Love Of Our Heavenly Father Is Steadfast And Not Does Not Change Because Of Circumstances The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Ps. 23:1) July 3, 2014 By Faith We Believe That The Father, Son And Holy Spirit Are Three Co-Eternal Beings Working Together To Restore Mankind From His Fallen Position But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Heb. 11:6) July 4, 2014 At The Cross God Demonstrated To Mankind How Large, Broad, Deep And Immeasurable Is His Love For Us The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
