Summary of today in court against the city of Arlington. The first thing that happened was Warren our lawyer called me to the stand for questioning. Warren asked me around 5-6 questions some of them being... How many walks have we been on? My answer was over 200. How do we go about doing one of our events? My answer was call law enforcement unless we have walked in that city before with no problems, we have flags, signs, walk and stand on sidewalks. When someone asks us for information, we give it to them, but only when stopped at a red light. How many times has someone been hurt on a walk that I have been on? My answer was never. How many times has someone been hurt on a walk around the entire state? My answer was never. How many tickets have been sited on walks? My answers was only twice and that was in Arlington. Why were they dropped? My answer was because they knew the law was not legit. I think that was it as far as questions from our side. Then, Arlingtons lawyer asked me questions, some of them being... What kind of gun do I carry? AK47. Is it loaded. Yes, but nothing in the chamber. What kind of gun does Daniel Wood carry? AK47. Is it loaded? I cant be 100% certain. What kind of gun does Mason Yancy Carry? Shotgun. Is it loaded? I cant be 100% certain. Did you call the police a thug, bully or dog? Yes, yes and no. At a certain point I answered one of the questions with This has nothing to do with what we are talking about and the judge agreed. Arlingtons lawyer then turned the questions to my Youtube channel and the video where I was encouraging, Daniel to go in the road and hand out materials right as the light had turned green. I admitted to doing so but mentioned that no cars had moved by the time he was back because of how long the car line was for where the light was. Then he asked about the tickets that our two members got and if they were dropped. That was pretty much the gist of our back in fourth on the stand. Warren did not object to his questions because he was allowing the judge to see that in fact they had no proof of public safety and it was all about them making us look bad, and them out to get us. Warren presented his case and did a very good job of it, pointing out some very good information about freedom of speech, the current city ordinance in Houston and the fact that it has no interest in public safety because they have had a law for 18 years that nobody has ever got a ticket for until we came around, then they changed it after they seen that it violated freedom of speech. Furthermore, Warren argued the fact that Arlington claims this new law is less restrictive than the first one, when in fact its not. Then, Arlingtons lawyer got up to present his case, but before he even really said much the judge started asking him questions. Too many for me to post , but he was really getting on to him about how this law is restricting freedom of speech. Arlingtons lawyer went back to how people feel when we walk around with guns on the sidewalk, how we bring them in stores, city council chambers, and more of the same stuff. Trying to make us look bad. Arlington says they are in the interest of public safety but its clear in their arguments that they are out to make us look like the bad guys.
