Summer Days Art Scholarships: Landscape Instruction Summer Days: Landscape Program This summer, for the first time, the New Dawn Foundation is offering art classes focused on the landscape for high school and college students. The students will be able to work in a private outdoor setting offering landscape, Long Island Sound and architectural views. Instruction will be offered as needed, and materials will be supplied. All art students – whether developing their portfolios for college applications or those simply interested in landscape art, are urged to participate in this program. The program consists of 6 Tuesday classes: July 9, 16, 23, 30, August 6 and 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The participant can work in pencil, charcoal, or oil paint. Summer Days-Landscape Program will be held at the The New Dawn Foundation, 590 Davenport Avenue, in New Rochelle, NY. Encourage your students to take advantage of this special opportunity! Space is limited. The New Dawn Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization established to • Promote wellness and healing • Support individual practitioners and those working to change society • Increase consciousness about the environment and • Conduct and support charitable works especially for underserved communities. The focus of the NDF is to restore and enhance the health of mind, body and spirit. The foundation provides education, health promoting services and caring for the environment that strives for ecological harmony and balance. Fees: Through a generous private donation, a modest fee of $10 per class ($60 total) is the only financial commitment required of the participant. Instructor fees, drawing and painting materials and surfaces, easels, etc. will be supplied.
