Summer/Fall Acting Studio Classes Class Ages Enrollment Dates/Times K–2nd Grade — Fairy Tale Theatre: Wolf’s Riding Hood! Instructors: Lori Holm and Val Zawada Our most popular, this class is a great place for young students! Students will bring these delightful characters to life with movement, voice and stage games! And best of all their ideas fuel the story! The session will end with an informal open house performance for family and friends! $120 5–8 Min: 6 Max: 15 Mondays Sept. 15–Oct. 27 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. NO CLASS: Oct. 13 (Columbus Day) 3rd–5th Grade — SUPER VILLAIN’S CLUB! Instructors: Lori Holm and Val Zawada Maleficent, the Giant, Gingerbread witch, Trolls…terrible villains or misunderstood?! You get to decide in this comedy!! Discover, create, and perform! Students will devise an original play that they will perform! The process will foster imagination, nurture self-confidence, and teach students to work as an ensemble. $120 8–11 Min: 6 Max: 15 Mondays Sept. 15–Oct. 27 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. NO CLASS: Oct. 13 (Columbus Day) Middle School/High School — HAUNTED IMPROV! Instructor: Lori Holm The Great Pumkin, Harry Potter, Dracula, Zombies! All the imaginative fuel we can use for this performance based acting class is endless!! Students will learn Improv Comedic skills through acting games and ensemble games strengthen their quick thinking and performance talent! The session will end with 4 Main Stage performances at Steel Beam Theatre! $195 (Includes session, t-shirt and 2 free tickets) 11–18 Min: 6 Max: 15 Saturdays Sept. 13–Oct. 11 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Performance Dates Sat., Oct. 18 10:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. Sat., Oct. 25 10:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. High School — ACTORS GYM Instructors: Lori Holm and Val Zawada This class is ideal for high school actors looking for a place to stretch their acting muscles when not currently performing!! The class is geared toward focus, truthful performances through strong choices, cold readings, and breaking down a script. We explore objectives, behavior, taking risks, relaxation and trust. The goal is to get the actors ready to show up to set relaxed, confident, secure, excited for the work. The six week session ends with a performance for family and friends. $120 14–18 Min: 6 Max: 15 Mondays Sept. 15–Oct. 27 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. NO CLASS: Oct. 13 (Columbus Day)
