Summit Lake is blessed to host Akrons two coolest local foods movements. And the Miller Avenue community is feeling called to serve them. Lets Grow Akron needs more volunteers. Their community gardens are profound pieces of community organizing. And their inspiring ED, Lisa Nunn, deserves our support to keep this wonderful ministry growing without having to work so many hours. And Ms Julie runs the best restaurant in Akron. Its vegan, local, and employs beautiful people making the best of the opportunity. Shes also a powerhouse of neighborhood activism. Lets eat there more! Seriously. Its the official location of miller ave lunch and dinner meetings. Social justice and Gods kingdom begins with what fuels our bodies. Lets pray for these ministries. More, lets volunteer and eat with them as well! Local food is such a hard and worthwhile ministry. And they cant just rely on super leaders alone. So lets follow them more closely.
