I see a rabbit has ventured out leaving the tell tale tracks of the journey it took around my yard. Just enough snow to give us a hint of the little carrot burners path. I did see a BlueJay in the big tree, nervous as always, but stayed around for a few minutes. It seemed like a big Bluejay from what I have seen around here. I have not seen the feral cat with the odd coat lurking about. The crows have returned and have made it their goal to wake me at daylight every morning. The temperature is relentless at keeping it cold, I guess winter is here, I did not want to admit that, but I gave in when the river glazed over with ice. Darn, I was looking forward to mowing the lawn at least once more. Disappointed that the wisp of snow hid the last of the green stubble. It is over, we now call it last summer, last spring, last fall, all past tense with the present tense to cold to discuss. It gives me shivers just looking outside and seeing the white powder on the ground. Its time for a hot cup of coffee. Have a great weekend, share some happiness, collect some over due love, have compassion for people in the cold climate, we need it.
