Sunday, 11th August THIS IS OUR DAY FOR THE GOSPEL! “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14) The passionate will and burning desire of our heavenly Father is for the whole earth to be filled with the knowledge of His glory, He wants everyone to know His love and experience His grace, through the preaching of this Gospel. Nahum 1:15 records “Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace!” When we came into Christ, we came into Mount Zion, the Mountain of God. Today our feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. And the Lord says that saviors shall spring forth from this mount: “And saviours shall come up on mount Zion….” (Obad. 1:21). When you received Christ, you were born into mount Zion, and Christ has made you a savior to your world. We are the saviors from Mount Zion. Jesus the Savior of the world has sent us in His Name to go and bring His salvation to the people of our time. This is the primary purpose of your life. Jesus has called you to save lives. He has given us a saving message, called the Gospel and our work is to go around publishing this good news of God’s saving love, and He has also given us His Holy Spirit to help us and confirm this message with signs and wonders . We are to bring the Gospel to the unsaved of our community and beyond. Sharing with them how that God loves them; and gave Jesus to die for our sin and now eternal life is available to any who believes in Him. This is our day to proclaim, publish and spread this good news. Therefore preach it with gusto, demonstrate it with boldness. For the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God and we are part of this! Prayer: Precious Father, thank you for revealing your purpose to me. This is my day to reach my world for you. May the fire of your Spirit burn brighter in me, may your words be as fire on my lips and hammer that breaks rocks into pieces. And may the spirit of salvation rest upon the youths of my generation, as we step into the ripe and ready harvest of the Spirit, in Jesus mighty Name! Amen.
