Sunday 6th April. Match Day Reports: BPR U14 - 2 vs 1 - Spartans League 1 runners-up spot secured! Although squad reduced by injury & school trips a battling team effort saw us take the lead with a T Campbell curled lob over the gk. We then gave away a penalty & score was level at half time. 2nd half got really feisty with several bad challenges by them eventually earning them just a yellow. With 5 minutes to go J Ropers first touch took out two defenders for him to score the winning goal. Congratulations boys, you have deserved it this year. BPR U13 - 1 vs 0 - Mill Hill We were away to Mill Hill today playing on the worst pitch weve had the displeasure of gracing. It sloped end to end and side to side with wonky goal posts and trees over hanging the touch line along one whole side of the pitch, puddles, boggy... awful! Mill Hills total route 1 football had us on the back foot throughout the first half but due to great defending it remained 0-0. Second half we had the hill in our favour and we passed the ball around nicely with quite a few shots on target, hitting the posts, but were unable to break the stalemate. A great move from the midfield enabled Isaac to slot home the winner 10 minutes into the second half but we couldnt capitalise on the chances we made. A fair result, that should have resulted in a bigger score line. BPR U12A - 8 vs 2 - Hillingdon Youth Thankfully, the rain stopped before we got underway against Hillingdon. After great pressure and brilliant positioning we got our first after 10 mins from good interplay which gave Kacper our first. Freddie (14 mins) then got his first followed by goals from Josh (18 mins) and then a second from Freddie (20 mins) followed by Shaq (24 mins) and then a sixth with Josh getting his brace on 29 mins). Hillingdon getting a consolation before half time on 30mins. In the 2nd half Larry latched on to a ball fed across the goal to squeeze in our seventh, Hillingdon then scored a second before Shaq riffled in our 8th to complete our win with an awesome team performance. MoM was Freddie for his lovely brace and great Midfield work, which involved lots of energy and commitment. BPR U12B - No game BPR U11A - 3 vs 0 - TFA Totteridge BPR U11A - 5 vs 1 - TFA Totteridge The boys played really well, with a double header against tfa totteridge. Some great passing and good communication.... to quote a couple of parents...They were a pleasure to watch. You did us all so proud. well done boys.... BPR U11B - 8 vs 2 - Ruislip Town No report Goals: Alec, Alfie S, Liam Tx5, Luc K. BPR U10A - 8 vs 1 - Ruislip Town A commanding performance from the U10As today saw two individual hat tricks, one each for Robbie and Sean. Marco and Kofi were also on the scoresheet finishing in style, well done guys! BPR U10B - 3 vs 2 - Princes Park B A full weekend of football with the U10B squad playing a couple of the postponed games from earlier in the year. On Saturday, it was our home fixture to Princes Park B. Despite a positive start from BPR, Princes Park notched first with a well delivered corner and a strong attack from their centre forward. Jamie levelled the score ten minutes later, assisted by Imadh. BPR dominated the play and Jamie put us ahead, 5 minutes before the break, with another well taken header delivered from an Imadh corner. HT 2 -1. Princes Park fought hard to get back into the game with the BPR defence holding firm, then Dorian put the game beyond their reach with a very calmly taken low shot, placed in the bottom left hand corner of the Princes Park goal. With a limited amount of subs and tired legs, BPR defended against a persistent Princes Park side resulting in us conceding ten minutes from time. With 5 minutes left to play, Shay made a crucial and brave tackle within our penalty area, winning the ball and getting a fat lip for his trouble. Well done boys for a deserved 3 - 2 win and congratulations to Shay for winning the MoM award! BPR U9A - No game BPR U9B - No game BPR U9C - No report BPR U8 A - 6 vs 1 - St Josephs A A good performance today against a good team, some great team passing actions, excellent Goalkeeper saves from George & Morgan in the crucial moments of the game. We squandered too many clear chances and need to improve our awareness and vision in midfield. Goals: Jake 2, Antiri 2, Reece and George. BPR U8B - No report BPR U8C - 0 vs 2 - Brentham Colts A A game of two halves for the U8Cs today we started off slow giving away two goals to Brentham Colts A. Good second half performance kept the score at 2-0. Outstanding performance from Dreyfus in goal today. BPR U7A - 10 vs 2 - Parkfield B Another encouraging performance from our U7A team. Frankie opened the scoring with a very early goal and followed it up with another. Kai scored 2 and Joe M scored a hat trick. Jack H scored from a free kick and Arlin scored 2. Parkfield played well and never gave up and scored two goals, but we were too strong for them today. BPR U7B - 5 vs 1 - St Joseph B A commanding performances throughout the team. Rory scored a hat trick Including a long range effort from beyond the half way line, that even David Beckham and Wayne Rooney would be proud off. Callum scored a screamer of a free kick and Savaan scoring the 4th with a clean run on goal. N oah and Freddy both played well with Noah keeping a clean sheet, while in goal, and making a number of important saves. All players had shoots hit the woodwork and special commendation goes to Freddy who as captain worked his socks of and deserved a goal himself. Rory was given man of the match but the reward could equally have gone to all members of the team. Well done boys...
