Sunday I was feeling a little under the weather and could not - TopicsExpress

Sunday I was feeling a little under the weather and could not sleep so I grabbed a blanket and sat down in my easy chair to contemplate the event of the week. The event that stood out the most in my mind was the fact the Senate passed an immigration bill but the House said it was dead on arrival, looks like another fight. Then all of a sudden the answer came to me, how simple it was we could wrap the whole thing up in a week or two. I couldn’t believe it, here I was a nothing, a simple pee-on in the scheme of life and I had the answer. No Senator, no Representative, not even the Administration and its staff had this solution. It’s simple --- we buy Mexico and make it the 51st state. Now before you go nuts with laughter let me give you some facts. Over the next 50 years it’s going to cost the American Tax Payer about $21.9 trillion to support the illegal immigrants in this country. These numbers come from the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) and the Heritage Foundation. Hell folks these people can’t get next year’s budget correct, what makes me think they can predict out 50 years. We will however use their numbers since they are the only ones available. How did we get to $21.9 trillion? Here’s the break down; 1. Cost of used benefits - $9.4 Trillion minus tax revenue $3.1 trillion = $6.3 trillion tax bill for the tax payer 2. US earned wages sent to Mexico = $1.25 trillion 3. Border Patrol operations = $177 billion 4. Expenditures on imports = $13.85 trillion 5. Foreign Aide = $20 billion 6. Total = $21.9 Trillion I purpose we take the $21.9 trillion and make Mexico an offer to purchase. At the current population of 115 million that would amount to approximately $190 billion per person. Do you believe anyone would turn down the offer? What you are going to hear is, “Gringo come on down” instead of the traditional, “Gringo go home”. What are we going to get for our money? 1. 6th largest oil producer 2. 7th largest economy 3. 9th largest economy 4. The largest Spanish speaking populace – no problem we are set with, “Press one for Spanish” 5. Cinco de Mayo will become an official holiday 6. Mole poblano and Tacos 7. Tequila 8. National sports of Rodeo and Bull Fighting (prerequisite for Drug Running). Besides all this we should recover our expenditures in record time after the IRS gets through with them. Folks I’m asking you to get behind this, write, call or email your Representative and Senator and tell them to, “buy now”. Man, I should be making the BIG BUCKS!!
