Sunday, June 22nd: “Pride in the Rocket City” Presented by Interweave and the Worship Committee Sparked as a response to a police raid in 1969 at a gay bar in New York City, pride celebrations can be found today in almost every country around the globe. As June marks pride month in most places, this Sunday Huntsville will be joining in the festivities with the third annual Rocket City Pride Day. Before the parade downtown, join us at UUCH as Interweave and the Worship Committee reflect on Pride in the Rocket City. We’ll celebrate with personal stories, poetry, prose and special music by Alli Johnson and John Czachurski.
