Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 TO: CMBC FAMILY & FRIENDS FR: PASTOR FORT RE: SUNDAY MORNING ATTENDANCE & HARVEST TEA 2013 Greetings in the name of our living LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Brothers and sister I pray this communication finds you prospering and in good health even as your souls prosper. Please note the following: 1) The time is 2:22AM on Sunday morning and I am pretty sure I will not be in worship this morning. To say it is unusual for me to have missed performing my first funeral/home-going service at Canaan in more than 24 years a week ago; and to very possibly miss a Sunday morning service at Canaan (let alone the Youth Annual Day); is rare indeed. Still, I am learning now that I (like everyone else); need to take care of myself when I am under-the-weather. To this end, my visit to the doctors office this past week revealed that I have a viral infection. I was given a prescription that I have not filled yet- (one only to be filled if matters get markedly worse)- to this end I am glad to say that my recovery is going north- not south. Still I believe I will most likely stay in today and try to recover completely prior to Bible studies this week. My sincere apologies to Minister in training Cassaundra Hillman and the youth of CMBC; Sis. Jeanie Smith, Sis. Renee Holland and everyone connected to our first ever Harvest Tea scheduled for this afternoon from 3:30PM until 6:00PM at Canaan; to members with whom I was scheduled to meet during our Sunday School hour; and to each member of our church for missing worship this morning. 2) I am asking all of you who can and will to please attend this afternoons Harvest Tea at CMBC. 3) I am asking every married couple at Canaan to make a commitment this morning to attend our Couples Conference scheduled for this Saturday from 8:00AM until 3:00PM at Canaan. The cost is a mere $40.00 per couple and includes continental breakfast and lunch. Our facilitators are Dr. Robert & Mrs. Mary Fairley, pastor and first lady of New Hope M.B.C., San Bernardino, CA. It is crucial that we reach a certain number of paid couples in attendance to make this event happen. Please see Chairman Daryl Dorsey and Sis. Jennifer Dorsey to register TODAY. 4) Please pray with and for Reverend Kimberly Collison (7:45AM) and Reverend Raymond Cook Jr. (10:30AM). They are scheduled to preach this morning at CMBC. May our God continue to bless each and every one of you is my prayer. Agape, Pastor Fort
