Sunday Preview April 13, 2014 Sermon Series: Battles for the Heart Sermon Title: the god of me Scripture: Luke 19:29-40. (NIV) Hi folks, My wife, Tina, is an amazing woman. Over the last 23 years, she has braved, survived, and thrived in a house infested with multiple males, (me in 1987, Dayton in1991, and Sloan in 1992). Her involvement and tenacity (with a house full of boys) have caused her to experience much that I am sure she could have never imagined as she accepted the invitation to marriage and parenthood. Tinas love for the boys and me is the principal force behind her willingness to put up with and participate in all our shenanigans, but the running joke in our house is that she is infected with an abnormally large case of FOMO, (other wise known as Fear Of Missing Out). Her desire to be with us pushes her places she would otherwise have little desire to go. All of us have certain forces within us that drive and direct our lives, but if we are not careful, there is one that can rob us of more than it ever could provide. Join us this Sunday as we conclude our series on Battles for the Heart, as we expose the god of me. Cant wait to see you there… Pastor Stan P.S.
